Tuscany elopement dream
First came the romantic vision – eloping in remote and picturesque location. Months later, Theresa and Rosh knew it. It was Villa di Geggiano, a historic gem nestled in the Tuscan hills. Under its mysterious spell, surrounded by vineyards and stone statues they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony. The villa became their perfect forever. Tuscany Elopement photographer
Your Elopement Photographer – a behind-the-scenes look
That warm afternoon we met at the premises right before Theresa and Rosh were about to finish getting ready for the grande finale of the day. The air was filled with excitement and love that we tried to immortalize. We started with their solo portraits, proceeded with the first look and the touching vows exchange guided by an officant. Afterwards, the newly weds ventured indoors for some intimate photos, capturing quiet, personal moments in the villa’s elegant rooms.
The peaceful setting and timeless atmosphere made their elopement truly special, offering them both a perfect and private beginning to their life together. The day was a celebration of love, simplicity, and the beauty of the villa’s surroundings. All of this was both filmed and also captured in photos. While I was responsible for the motion pictures part – the video that you can see above, this is Kinga who was the elopement photographer. Her stunning works can be viewed below and – for the broader context – on her website.
The perfect Venue
Villa di Geggiano, located in the heart of Tuscany, is not only a beautiful venue but also rich in history. Built in the 16th century, the villa has been a symbol of elegance and tradition, once home to aristocratic families. Surrounded by lush vineyards, its historic architecture and grand courtyards provide a stunning backdrop for any ceremony. The villa’s charming gardens, once carefully designed to reflect Renaissance beauty are more than perfect for elopements or weddings. With its long history and breathtaking surroundings, Villa di Geggiano is a dream venue. For both, the couples and photographers.
Eloping in Tuscany – when and where?
Tuscany offers a range of stunning locations for elopements, from charming countryside villas to historic hilltop towns and cypresses-lined estates. The best time for an elopement in Tuscany is during the spring (April to June) or fall (September to October) when the weather is mild, and the landscape is at its most beautiful. July and August are also a good option, just be prepared for either very high temperatures or a very early wake up. Whether you’re looking for a private elopement or a larger celebration, Tuscany has something for every couple.
other wedding and elopement destinations in Italy
However, if you’re still debating and open to other destinations in Italy, rest assured the country has endless possibilities. From the far south of Sicily or Puglia up to the north of Italy, be it the Dolomites or Venice, you will always find the perfect backdrop for your dream elopement. If Venice, the floating city, also captures your heart, be sure to explore the weddings and elopements I’ve had the privilege of capturing there.
